Valtavalo Oy, a Finnish manufacturer and supplier of LED lighting solutions, has strengthened its operational management. Valtavalo’s Board of Directors has appointed Mr. Pekka Kantola (M.Sc. (Tech.)), the company’s long-time Chairman of the Board, as CEO as of 22 November 2022. Mr. Tuukka Prykäri (M.Sc. (Tech.)), an acting CEO since the beginning of 2020, will return as Chief Technology Officer with responsibility for developing new product and service innovations, transferring them to production and managing supply chains. Mr. Aki Sarajärvi has already been appointed Business Director for Finnish operations earlier in the autumn, with responsibility for sales and customer relationship management.
Pekka Kantola has long, international experience in business development, especially in the steel industry’s instrumentation and telecom software businesses. He is also a certified management consultant and since 2008 has been an entrepreneur and CEO of Oulu B&N Companies Ltd. Kantola has been a member of the Valtavalo Board since 2015 and is one of the shareholders of Valtavalo Oy.
Former CEO Tuukka Prykäri is pleased with the Board’s choice.
