Valtavalo Ltd has appointed Mr. Tuukka Prykäri (M.Sc. [Tech.]),one of the co-founders of the company, as the new CEO. Having worked with lighting since 1999, Prykäri has been the company’s technology director since the company was established. He has also contributed to the development of the international LED tube standard EN 62776, issued in December 2014.
Mr. Markku Laatikainen, who has been in charge of Valtavalo for 11 years, has finished his work as CEO, but will continue as Senior Advisor for the time being.
I’ve been Valtavalo CEO for over 11 years and I believe that for the future of the company it is now the right time for me to step aside and pass the company management into new hands. I will continue to be a majority shareholder of the company, so my faith in Valtavalo and its future is as strong as ever”, says Laatikainen.
In recent years, Valtavalo has experienced rapid growth and internationalisation, and now it is time to focus on improving profitability. We have streamlined production in our production facilities, established our position in the Swedish lighting market with our own organisation and further strengthened our position in Finland through new cooperation agreements”, says Tuukka Prykäri, Valtavalo’s new CEO.

At its production facilities in Kajaani, Finland, Valtavalo manufactures energy-efficient and long-life LED light sources and provides its customers with comprehensive solutions based on replaceable light sources that help reduce the life cycle cost of lighting.
